A week with no news?! Man, we've been busy with Festivus and all, so we'll be back at it on Tuesday. We got some new shit to post up, so check back then, ya heard?

Slow Thursday night...

So we looked in the fridge and found a few bottle bottoms. Some Canadian club, a couple mini-shots all around. Some Courvoisier (?!), Jermaine says it was his, so he hogged that.


Oh, and another cool thing happened today. I got a free snowboard in the mail from SAPIENT (Thanks dudes, can you send some snow?). I filled out a survey a month ago, and I completely forgot about it. So it showed up today, and the other dorks here decided it needed a sticker job. Hella sick job they did eh? COCK DOOR?!

Pro Girl had their first anniversary sale on saturday and some folks were so stoked they just drove right up to the front of the store, blocked the doorway so no one else could get in and bought up almost all the snowboard gear we had. But all ended well, just ask the great wall of dartmoutn how they're doin' to get the whole story.

The Maiden Number of the Beast graphic has been ripped off so many times, but this is definitely the hottest one yet. And who doesn't love Maiden?!

10 YEARS of HOMEGROWN

Yo we got some new graphics and clothing in from Homegrown Skateboards. This new shit marks the 10th anniversary of the Nova Scotian company. There are 4 new graphics, 3 of which come together to form like Voltron in a giant octopus. The middle board, the lil cruiser looking deal, is a part of the artist series done by Scott McClellan and is one of only 26. Nick Wilton also had his giant paws on the early 90's shape with the snake heart on it is also one of 18. So pick one up to rip and one to hang on the wall, girls looooove art. There are also new tees and hoodies with the 10 year roots crest. Next Wednesday, December 20th, there will be an art show at the Argyle fine arts gallery in the historic properties showcasing 10 years of graphics from Homegrown. Come check it out for complimentary drinks and some art. Afterwards head to the Marquee club for the after party, consisting of some rock'n'roll from the dudes at Blackout 77 and then DJ Cosmo will take over and get us all grooving to all kinds of jams. There will be some skateboarding in the bar as well, in some form, with prizes from Homegrown, Apathy clothing, Adio footwear and of course Proskates. Cover is 5 bucks at the Marquee.....See you there bitches.

Our Friend, Owen

Have you ever met someone that right off the bat, right away, like, as soon as you exchanged two words, you just absolutely knew right then and there that you were going to have a long lasting hatred for them? Really? Maybe it was just you?
Well anyway, we have this friend Owen, he's a rad guy. Good skater, snowboarder, all around nice guy, and down for JC.
So, he's so comfortable with us that he wanted to show us these. They're underwear he's had from when he was, um, I'd guess five or six? There's firetrucks on them.

Casino Night Randoms

Nacho found a big bruise on his arm, which we can only assume came from his homie Brad, cause that's what they do. They hang out, drink, and discover bruises the next day.

Casino night

We all went to the casino Sunday night. Let me say, it was hella. The buffet was hella mediocre, the gambling was hella wide, the drinks were hella tasty, Sarah was hella late, and the dancing was hella dirty. After some good, bad, and better blackjack hands and some $100 on blacks, Jermaine, Zach, and I got up pretty good. Of course we all then proceeded to lose every penny. Our cars, houses, watches, you name it. Nacho held onto his winnings, as did Sarah and Helen I think. Pretty sure Matt left up a hundy or so. I didn't really see everyone else gambling that much, but I'd say it was a pretty evenly even evening. Fun, for sure. Mel said she lost all hers but plans to go back every payday til she's rich. Hmm, hopefully we didn't ruin anyone's life.

One Ball Jay

Apparently the One Ball Jay factory in the states had a huge fire and a whole bunch of wax melted all over the place. Their assembly line covered under hardened wax after the flames were put out made it kinda difficult for them to send us our order, but we somehow got a shipment in today anyway. Wax is fun, I like waxing my board. Girls like waxing their bodies, I cant imagine why they would. The iron is hot, and wax is sticky. Silly girls. As usual though if you don't wanna go thru all the trouble yourself drop off your board at the shop and we'll wax it for you. Bring 20 bucks with you when you come to pick it up. Simple as that. The snow is coming, seriously, it is.

Mob Connections

So the other day these two guys came into the store and looked kinda mobaliciously heavy. They had an offer for us we couldn't refuse, so now our basement is full of helmets and riser pads. Kinda creepy doin business with the mafia, but sometimes the deal is too good to pass up. Drop in and check it out. Oh yeah, they are gonna come back soon with a pallet of cement shoes for us, so I'll be sure to let y'all know when they come in. -Matt.

Burton 08!!!

Just got back from Vail, Colafuckinrado to check out the new 2008 Burton line. Gotta say, it's awesome. Don't want to give anything away but the new technology is pretty amazing. I rode a few of the new boards, but the Jeremy Jones was by far my favourite. And the bindings.....well you'll have to wait and see what they did with those. Met Jake for about three seconds, but he seems like a nice guy. The mountain made up for the hellish trip back. Don't ever fly Continental. They suck.
